oral examination day 10-conversation
I agree that some people just worry too much about things.Whenever,and wherever they are,they would worry unduly.I had a friend whom always worry about things.Before the exam,she would worry about how hard the questions would be and what kind of questions would be tested.After the exams,she would worry about how well she would fare in the examinations.
As life is not a bed of roses,there are bound to be ups and downs,and of course,worries.Wories are a part of our lifes,but if we were to worry all of lifes,life would become a displeasure for us.As the saying goes,"let natural takes its course" things will slowly work out for you.We cannot live life without worries,but we should learn to face worries.As the truth is the cold,hard fact,you cannot change it.However,what we can do is to change our minset and face life with a positive attitude.Life goes on whether we live with worries or without worries,thus why should we worry and make our lifes unhappy?

This is a picture of the old folks in the old folks centre.In the foreground of the picture,a young man wearing jeans and a t-shirt is teaching the old folks how to wash their hands.I can tell that this is a old folks centre as there are many old folks gathering around here.In the background of the picture,I can see posters teaching the correct techniques of hand washing pasted on the walls of the washroom,perhaps serving as a reminder to the old folks on how to wash their hand correctly.
The man wearing jeans and a t-shirt is probably a volunteer at the old folds centre,teaching them how to wash their hands.There are also medical personel at the back,taking care of the old folks' health.These old folks probably came to this centre for activities as they are homeless or lonely while their children are at work.
I think that it is a good idea for people to act as volunteers to help out the old folks or the needy.The old folks has contributed their best of years,their youth to the nation and the society.It should be the time that we repay them now.It is also part of our job to take care of the old and the needy.
If I were to give this picture a title,I would give this picture a title of "heart warming" as I am touched by the young man serving as a volunteer at the old folks centre.

Some of the difficulties faced by women who wants to have a career and start a family is that they are unable to cope with both aspects at the same time.For them to be a successful business woman,she would have to put in all her best,heart and soul into the work.If she were to handle post of a managerial position,they would have to work overtime almost everyday,thus neglecting their family.
Employers can help these women by giving them less workload for them to spend time with their family.Thus,with lesser workload,they can take time off to foster bonds with family members.Employers could also set a family day for the company,in coordination with the five day work week,giving employees tickets to tourists' destinations such as the zoo and the science centre. As it is a five day work week,people do not need to work on weekends.With a family day that the company organises,employees would get to spend time with their family members,while pursueing their carrer at the same time.

From my opinion,everyone can be good at sports,as long as they have the determination and strive hard to succeed.As the saying goes"practice makes perfect",with constant practice,you can improve in the sports you play.
Some people are better at sports than other people because of the hard work they have put in.My friend,amos was a reserve badminton player in our primary school.However,he trained very hard in badminton and is now the honourable captain of Raffles Institution today.Thus,everyone can learn to be good at sports.However,there are some cases where people are just born with the talent to play sports.They are very gifted and with enough guidance,they will become very strong.Although saying this,it does not mean that training is unesscessary,for champions are made,not born.With hard work and determination,everyone could become good at sports.

Oral examination day 4-conversation
From my personal opinion,protecting natural habitats and looking after wildlife are part of our tasks.We should preserve the natural habitats and not destroy them.Nowadays,natural habitats are being indiscrimately destroyed by humans.Natural habitats such as forest are destroyed by humans in order to create materials such as paper and to make way for buildings,roads and factories.Dams are also built along rivers,altering their natural course to create hydro-electric energy,upsetting the natural habitats of wildlife.
From my point of view,humans are destroying natural habitats to a large extent.With their natural habitats destroyed,animals are in danger of extinction.For example,the melting of the ice in the poles and antartic region caused by global warming which results from the acts of human is causing polar bears to face the threat of extinction.For the next generation,we may have to bring them to the museum to watch polar bears.
Human and wildlife could learn to live coherently.Developing cities at the expense of destroying natural habitats only add to our own troubles.For example,with the forests destroyed,it only worsens the greenhouse effect and quicken global warming.Thus,we should learn to protect natural habitats and look after wildlife.

My favourite hairstyle is those of that short,neat looking hair type.Firstly,with these type of hairstyle,I would have no problems with the discipline master or my form teacher for my hair being too long.Therefore,I would not face punishment such as detention with issues regarding grooming.Also,with a short haircut,I would save the hassle of combing my hair before I go to school unlike my brother,who needs to comb his hair and put on gel in order to look neat and presentable.
Furthermore,your hairstyle serves as a important factor in the overall impression to others.There was once instance where my brother went for a job interview to vie for a outlet manager post.In the end,he lost the other candidates not in terms of qualifications but in terms of overall impression.As my brother was running late,he did not comb his hair.Therefore at the interview,his hair was messy and he looked untidy.

T1WK10-Cousin's job
During these few days,i read the blog of my cousin again.She went for work the first time as a cashier.Besides being a cashier,she was asked asked to handle many disparate jobs like rearranging the clothes and sweeping the floor.She was also reviled for being slow in work.Being scolded at work,she was lugubrious.However,there are bound to be many vicissitudes when we go out in the face of society to work.We should be trenchant and attempt to overcome the difficulties.

The economic crisis is set to take a turn for the worse.With the current pecuniary and banking crisis,goverments around the world are busy planning reimburstment packages to boost the economic performance.In order to survive this tough period,we must change our prolific lifestyle and tighten our purse.For example,instead of feasting on sumptuous lavish meals,we can now try to opt for more inexpensive meals.This might be a little restrictive at first,but we must learn to slowly get used to it.Although we have our parents to underwrite our cost of living,we should not add to the burden of our parents.Thus,we should try to change our lifestyles.

T1WK8-Learning journey
It was a week of "rest" to the students,for the teachers are going on course.During these three days,we went to a learning jouney regarding governance of Singapore,a Social studies chapter .Out of the governance,we learnt that there are mainly three main procedures in governance,namely,the Judiciary,legislature and executive.To learn about these three fields,we went to places like the Urban Redevelopment Authority(URA) and the Supreme court.We gathered at the school,and took a bus to peregrinate the tortuous road to the Supreme court.Before entering,the guide warned us not to romp or to itinerant around,otherwise the police will deem you as disrupting the place and may have the rights to arrest you.It was a fun and fruitful journey.
T1WK7-Cousin's job
Reading the blog of my cousin,i found out recently that she has found a job during the holidays,being a cashier at Baleno.Being a cashier also involves taking up manifold responsiblity,for any mistakes that you perpetrate you will be held accountable for it.They must also be careful not to fall into subterfuge by swindlers.Although this job is fraught with challenges,I am sure that my assiduous cousin will be able to handle the job well.
T1WK6-A run to the school
After training,our coterie of school badminton players went out together for dinner to celebrate our triumph in the east zone badminton tournament.At the dinner,everyone was filled with laughter,and even our usually quiet captain was extremely gregarious that day.Unknowingly,it has already been half past eight after we finish our dinner.Checking my bag,i found out that i have left my worksheets in school,which has to be done and submitted the next day.I ran back to the school,with my shirt saturated with sweat just to find the school gates locked.The sercurity guards have knocked off,but there are electric eyes and other nuances to prevent interlopers from coming in.serving as a bulwark to protect the school's property.

T1WK5-Soccer match
The officials are dicussing among themsleves.Finally,a controlversial decision has been made by the officials.The referee decided to invalidate the initail decision that the alleged penalty kick taken by the home team has not scored.This was a important match for both teams.Chances of going to the next round depended on this match.The home team was a goal ahead.After much persevererance,they had advanced into the next round.It was a landmark victory for them.

T1WK4-Assembly
Monday would always be a hectic day for us students,as school ends at 4.45pm.At the grand auditorium,Ms Lam,the Head of department for science,began the talk on our O'lvl science pratical-accessment(SPA).SPA is a important factor of the science exams,for 20 percent of he total grade conprises of SPA results.When Ms Lam was talking,one student began to talk very loudly,typical of a stereotype talkative student.Her acts nettled Ms Lam.As a result,the student was being called up to stand in front of the cohort.Shortly after,the school counsellor began her talk on target setting.She approached various topics like what do you aspire to be in the future,and how important it is to have a plan.Lastly,a ex-alumni of our school came to share his experience on taking examinations.He spoke in a stentorian tone, and he sang us a song.Credits for his valor singing us a song in front of the cohort.

T1WK3-Singapore budget 2009
After much discussion with the members of the parliament,the Singapore goverment eventuated with a viable financial budget for Singapore in the year 2009. The Minister of Finance for Singapore,Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam unveiled the financial budget for Singapore in 2009 on the 22nd of January 2009,with an astounding budget of $20.5 billion dollars,where the ultimate aim is to help Singaporeans to overcome this period of exceptional difficulties.This budget comprises of five components,mainly providing jobs for singaporeans,simulating bank lending,enhancing business cash flow and competiveness,supporting families and building a home for the future.When we heard of the financial budget for 2009,it was hard to repress our feelings.This plan provided a haven for many Singaporeans that are in need,enabling us to pull through times of difficulty.

T1WK2-Lecture by our level master
At the start of the year,we attended a talk by Mr Soon,our secondary three level master.He taked about some facts of O'Levels and some important concepts.O'Level,is a key milestone to sucess.As O'Level is a two year course,paying attention and working hard this year plays an integral role in deciding our destiny.He also advised against us to hang out with indecent friends,like people with flamboyant hair,and others of that ilk,for he was timorous that we may end up being led astray.Serious "mistakes" such as commiting theft will lead to jail and bad reports that reflects badly on you which could never be expunged from the systems record.It was a really fruitful day for me as I have learnt some values from the talk

T1WK1-Job interview during the holidays
More than forty hours had elapsed since my last job interview at the CHEERS outlet concerning a part-time job regarding a cashier post.Recalling that day,my mind was in a whirl.I was asked to fill a four page comphrehensive recruitement form in front of the outlet's manager.Shortly after which,I was being asked questions,which I think I answered badly.On my return to my domicile,I conveyed to my brother about the happenings during the job interview.Although he described my job intervew as a fruitless attempt to get a part time job,I remained sanguine about it.
